Field Day 2010
Field Day Planning Team is for the planning and dissemination of information regarding the Seattle Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS), Medical Service Teams (MST), The Puget Sound Repeater Group (PSRG) and The West Seattle Amateur Radio Club (WSARC)'s Field day activities for 2010.
Field Day "Radio Camp" will be held on the last weekend in June, Friday June 25 thru Sunday June 27, 2010. Come and spend as much time as you care to although this is technically a contest, having fun is our primary objective. Participation is open to all, Licensed Hams, those interested in getting their licenses or those who just want to learn more about what we do. All ages are welcome, adult supervision is required for those under 14.
We plan to run a class 2A Station this year. There is not really any formal schedule set up but there is always room for folks to get some airtime on one of the contest stations, especially late Saturday night / early Sunday morning. We will have a number of classes / workshops running threw out the day Saturday on a variety of Armature Radio related topics. Everybody is invited and encouraged to bring their emergency field equipment to set up, try out and show it off. This is a great opportunity to work the kinks out of new or updated systems, share ideas on making it better or get ideas you may want to try in the future. We will have Pot Luck Dinners both nights. Members of the hosting groups and their guests are welcome to spend the night if they care to.
We will set up and need folks there form about Noon Friday to the late Sunday afternoon. The Contest itself runs from Noon Saturday to Noon Sunday. Help with Setup and takedown is needed and appreciated.
