PSRG Membership Information

Membership in the Puget Sound Repeater Group is easy to acquire, and equally easy to maintain. Key points include:

  • No fee (freewill donations gladly accepted)
  • Requires only that you send in:
    • Your name
    • Your callsign
    • Your address
    • Your phone number
    • Your email address (if you have one)

Although we require your phone number, it need not necessarily be listed in the membership roster. If you would prefer your phone number to be unlisted, please let us know when you send in your information. We still require it, however, for emergency purposes. If you want your number unlisted, it will be available to only the control operators of the repeater, who will only use it in emergency situations.

If you can provide an email address for correspondence, we would be very pleased. This will enable us to save 37 cents when mailing information to the membership, or to you in particular. Of course, this is strictly voluntary, and an email address is not mandatory.

To apply for membership please contact our Secretary/Treasurer our with the information indicated above.

As listed in the bylaws and constitution you will receive when you join the group, your membership is good for 18 months from the time of your last contact with the group. "Contact" is defined as follows:

  • Sending in a donation
  • Attending the Annual Meeting
  • Attending the Annual Picnic
  • Corresponding with the Secretary/Treasurer in an official capacity
  • Corresponding with any other board member in an official capacity

Donations

We don't require fees to become a member of the PSRG, but we do need your help to survive. As an amateur radio organization, we have no other way to make money than through your donations of time and money. Our budget for most years is under $2,000, out of which we must pay rent for repeater sites, pay charges for maintaining a phone line, purchase replacement equipment when existing equipment breaks or needs to be upgraded, etc. The list is long, and the bottom line is that we can't exist without your help.

In addition to donations, we are now selling PSRG-branded merchandise at Cafepress. To look over what we've got, and buy some for yourself, please go to:
