Hello Everyone

The PSRG Annual Picnic is coming right up, it's this Saturday, July 10 at
noon. The picnic occurs instead of a monthly board meeting in July.

The picnic is held this year at Woodland Park, next to Green Lake, at
Shelter #5. The shelter is located just off Aurora Ave at the north end of
the zoo. Alternatively you can get to shelter #5 from W. Green Lake N. by
driving up the small road by the tennis courts and dog park, near the Aqua
center at the southwest corner of the lake. There is parking near the
shelter, it should be easy to find.

If you need help finding the location please make contact on the PSRG
repeater, or 146.52 simplex.

A map to the shelter site is available on the City of Seattle's web site at
this link:

The PSRG has arranged to provide soda and water refreshments and ice cream
treats. Please bring food for yourself and your family to the picnic. This
is not an organized pot luck picnic, if you plan on eating lunch you should
bring whatever you want to eat with you. The picnic shelter has a number of
charcoal grills available, if your food requires cooking feel free to bring
along some charcoal and start up a grill.

The picnic area has a number of picnic tables but I suspect seating will be
in short supply. If you have portable lawn chairs please bring them to have
a place to sit!

Several PSRG members have donated some nice radios that will be given away
to lucky winners at the picnic as door prizes!

ALSO: The PSRG is conducing a license exam session at 2:00pm at the picnic
site. If you are interested in upgrading your license, or you have a friend
that would like to test for a new license, this is a great opportunity to
take the exam! If you are interested in taking a license exam please bring:

* $15 cash
* Two pieces of ID
* The Original and also a Copy of your present license (if you have one).
The copy will be kept.

No facilities for making copies will be available at the picnic so please
plan ahead!

The weather should be fantastic on Saturday and I hope to see many of you at
the picnic this weekend!

If you have any questions about the picnic or the exam session please get in
touch with me. E-mail works best, just reply to this e-mail.

Thanks

Mark Hagler, KK7U
PSRG President
