Give your name and callsign as the Net Control Operator
(Announce) Good evening, and welcome to the Puget Sound Repeater Group Net. This net meets every Monday evening, at 19:30 hours local time, for the purpose of airing any announcements of general interest to this group and other radio amateurs, of providing Amateur Radio Newsline, and of taking check-ins.
Members and non-members are welcome to make comments or ask questions about any of the announcements, or the Amateur Radio Newsline, and of course to check-in. Those with announcements, comments, or questions will automatically be checked-in.
1. Are there any questions or comments about the Amateur Radio News Line?
2. Are there any announcements for the net this evening? (After each station is finished ask for questions or comments.)
3. We are now ready to take check-ins. we already have checked-in: (List those stations that have had announcements, comments, or questions.)
4. (Take check-ins in the following groups, either in
forward or reverse order. Note: This is only a guideline, so
feel free to do your own thing.
If you're new to net control duties, asking
for people to give their calls slowly and phoenitically is helpful.
Don't forget to acknowledge all checkins, so they know you got them.)
(Give a final call A Through Z, then ask for any other business or comments.)
5. Finally, are there any stations wishing after net contacts?
6. We could really use more net control people. Net Control does not have to air Newsline - only to run the net afterwards. We have this cool script to read from, so you don't have to memorize anything. Do we have a volunteer to take the net next week? To volunteer for a later date, please email our Net Manager, Rusti, at WA7KAT@aol.com or use the contact page on our website.
7. (Announce) If you wish to join the PSRG, make a monetary donation, or offer your services to the group, please write to: Puget Sound Repeater Group, P.O. Box 77448, Seattle, WA 98177-0488. We can also be contacted at www.psrg.org, on the World Wide Web.
Alternatively, contact the Sec/Tres, KC7YYB, on the air via repeater, at telephone number (206) 243-0163, or use the contact page on our website.
If joining please include your callsign, full name, address and telephone number. If you wish to have your phone number be unlisted on the roster, please so indicate. However, your phone number must be included with your membership request so that it will be available to the control operators.
8. (Close the Net, giving the date and time, and thank everyone for their participation.)
NOTE: (Of course, you can ad-lib parts, just follow the general outline)
